Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.
It is pashion for cycling and bicycles in general. Since I can remember I have been looking for some meaning full repurposing of all the beautyfull mechanical parts after they finish their life on the bike.
Because gears and chains looks best when they move. And if they become a part of something beatyfull and usefull - like clock, then it is not just recycling.
The most components I use today are collected in bike shops in my home town. The rest comes from all spheres of everyday life, like natural materials, stuff you can find in kitchen and many more.
